Enterprise software represents a major portion of most organizations’ IT spend. We know much of that software budget spend – as much as 25-30% -- could be saved through better Software Asset Management and Software License Optimization practices.
Flexera Software is conducting an anonymized survey to understand organizations’ Software Asset Management practices, so we can help benchmark where opportunities for greater savings and efficiencies can be found. The results, which will be published in an industry report later this year, will help organizations answer many questions such as:
- What percentage of IT spend is being wasted on unused software – “shelfware”?
- Which software vendors are auditing their customers’ software use and extracting the greatest penalties (“true-ups”)?
- What challenges do organizations face migrating their applications to Windows 7, virtualized, cloud and mobile environments?
